The Society for Veterinary Sciences and Biotechnology (SVSBT) was formed by a group of scientists dealing with publication of a Quarterly journal, The Indian Journal of Field Veterinarians, mainly the Chief Editor Dr. R.S. Dhanotia, the former Professor of Veterinary Biochemistry at Mhow Veterinary College, Madhya Pradesh with support of its Editorial board and other stalwarts.

Major Objectives

To establish a strong linkage between Animal Husbandry sector and Veterinary & Animal Biotechnology research.
To organize annual conferences/seminars in reputed institutions of the country;
To confer the Best Paper Awards and the Outstanding Veterinary Graduates of the year Awards of the society to the deserving scientists and the students.
To encourage Researchers by Awarding Session-wise Young Scientist Awards and Overall Best Paper Presentation Awards in each Conference.
To update knowledge of the researchers & farmers raising livestock for their enhanced productivity and health.
To keep liaison with Government departments, universities and other research organizations.
