- To establish a strong linkage between Animal Husbandry sector and Veterinary & Animal Biotechnology research.
- To organize annual conferences/seminars in reputed institutions of the country.
- To honor the senior LMs of the Society with Lifetime Achievement, as well as Fellows and Associate Fellows-SVSBT Awards.
- To confer outstanding translational research and innovation in Veterinary/Animal Biotechnology with LUVAS Translational Innovation Award of SVSBT.
- To confer the Best published Paper Awards of IJVSBT (Both Research & Clinical with Cash prize).
- To honor the Outstanding Veterinary Graduates of the year (one each from Found institute, Mhow & the Host institute of the Conf) Awards of the Society.
- To encourage Researchers by Awarding Session-wise Best Paper Presentation Awards to the Post-Graduate/PhD Scholars and Faculties/Teachers in each Conference.
- To provide travel grant of Rs. 2000/- (Two thousand) in Cash to the First Best Student Presenter in each oral and poster session in each Conference.
- To honor the Best Young Scientist below 35 years (both student and faculty) of a special presentation session with A Certificate, Trophy, & Cash Award of Rs. 2,500/-).
- To update knowledge of the researchers & farmers raising livestock for their enhanced productivity and health through organizing seminars and interactive sessions.
- To keep liaison with Government departments, universities and other research organizations.
- To publish a NAAS rated (5.25) Bi-monthly journal, the IJVSBT for the benefit of the research scholars and the scientists.
- To share the recommendations emerged out of the deliberations in the Seminars/ Conferences to the ICAR, concerned State AH Departments and Policy makers for their implementation.
