- To establish a strong linkage between Animal Husbandry sector and Veterinary & Animal Biotechnology research.
- To organize annual conferences/seminars in reputed institutions of the country;
- To confer the Best Paper Awards and the Outstanding Veterinary Graduates of the year Awards of the society to the deserving scientists and the students.
- To encourage Researchers by Awarding Session-wise Young Scientist Awards and Overall Best Paper Presentation Awards in each Conference.
- To update knowledge of the researchers & farmers raising livestock for their enhanced productivity and health.
- To keep liaison with Government departments, universities and other research organizations.
- To publish a NAAS rated (5.25) Bi-monthly journal, the IJVSBT for the benefit of the research scholars and the scientists.
- To share the recommendations emerged out of the deliberations in the Seminars/ Conferences to the ICAR, concerned State AH Departments and Policy makers for their implementation.
